Poster requirements and deadline

1. The poster should be 40” high by 46” wide.

2. Poster and image resolution should be 150–200 dpi. Anything over 200 dpi wastes time and disk space. Anything under 150 dpi will lead to quality problems.

3. Poster files must be submitted in one of the following formats: Photoshop (PSD), JPEG, TIF or PowerPoint (PPT). PowerPoint files must have been created in Windows. Macintosh PowerPoint files will not print.

4. The deadline for getting your poster printed is 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008. Any files submitted after that will not be printed.

5. Submit poster files to the CMC Help Desk. The filename should include the student’s name and “US”, ie: “StudentName_US.tif”. The student will be contacted via email when the poster is finished, which may take several days. Do not wait until the last day to turn in your poster! The earlier you get it in, the sooner you will get it back and can check it for errors.

6. This year, to ensure that all posters are printed in time, College Library will have two printers in operation: one using a matte paper, and the other a glossy. If you have a preference, please indicate that when dropping off your poster and include that preference in the filename (e.g. “StudentName_US_matte.tif”).
